Where do I begin … what a truly cracking day. Despite the weather forecast predicting we’d be slow roasted all day at a solid 42 degrees, mother nature intervened and gave me an early Xmas present by way of exceptional & emotive cloud cover which is probably the best present I could have asked for.
My story with Kate + Daniel extends back around 2 years when I shot Vinnie + Alishas destination wedding over Koh Samui. But their story begins a little further back that that, back to their primary school days in fact.
‘ve been pretty lucky in getting to know Daniel & Kate a little better over the past 12 months or so, and I cannot find the words to personify how highly I regard these two. My job can get pretty stressful and a morning phone call from Daniel which always starts with a spritely “Danielsaannn” honestly lifts my day up a couple of notches, so much so that im thinking of setting it as my alarm in the mornings. I think anyone who knows either of these two will testify that you’ll not likely meet a nicer of more genuine couple.
Yesterday began at Henley with the boys. I won’t lie, its was hot beyond belief, but we jumped down to Grange, had a lovely stroll along the jetty before sinking a couple of cold chutneys prior to making the trip up into the hills.
Kate & the girls looked stunning, so much so that I was muttering & fumbling my words initially. As 4pm rolled around, the clouds came in and the ceremony went off without a hitch. We then spent an hour or so hitting up some gorgeous spots around LV before we headed in to the reception which had been expertly brought to life with a number of stunning floral arrangements.
After some cracking speeches, we ducked out at last light to obtain some awesome shots just before the rain clouds took over and dumped a load of its watery goodness over us.
