Blimey, if this ain’t the recipe for the perfect wedding, then I don’t know what is. I met Laura & Nathan in March last year purely by coincidence at the wedding of the lovely Karlee + Dan, she introduced herself at the reception and said “I think I booked you for my wedding last week”. And so our story begins.
Waverley for me = paradise. As soon as the W word is mentioned, I get extremely excited. Usually February weddings have me fretting about harsh hot sunlight, however i’d been praying all week for clouds, and clouds is what I got.
I arrived at midday to find friends and family helping in setting up the decor, ceremony, reception and generally being lovely to one another. As the afternoon continued, I stepped into the bedroom at the homestead to see just about the most gorgeous bride i’m ever likely to see. Laura looked absolutely stunning and Nathan just about looked like the rolled of a Verasce catwalk campaign … well you can see for yourselves.
The ceremony took place under the the trees out of the front of the estate before we ducked out back to make use of the glorious looking fields that plateau around Waverley. We then headed back to the garden to enjoy drinks and speeches before I took the guys for a spin just around the block to my favourite place in the world, Port Elliot. We got there just in time to see the last of the suns light disappear over the horizon before making our way back to the reception for drinks and dancing.
You can’t write wedding stories better than this, for me, it was the most incredible day and I feel stoked to have been a part of it. Hopefully these photos do it some justice.
